Veterans Information Cards, September 1946–September 1953

This series consists of information cards on enrolled or re-enrolled veterans at the Haskell Institute. The cards originated in the school office then were sent to the business office when a veteran enrolled or re-enrolled. Information provided by the school office includes the veteran's name, date enrolled, claim number, serial number, public law number, and signature of preparing staff member. All cards do not provide complete information. The information provided by the business office includes old check order (date), board declaration (place and date), date dropped, and reason dropped. The information provided on the line entitled "hold check order" indicates the type of training in which the veteran enrolled and indicated training in such trades as electrical, commercial, academic disciplines, or other occupations.
